Michael Hodgson

Mike Hodgson is the CEO of Global Blade Service USA, based in Colorado Springs, CO.

Previously, as the Founder, CEO of WTG Blades, he pioneered the industry’s leading 5-year blade repair warranty. This was made possible through the development of a secure Quality Assurance program for field technicians, supported by 24/7 online access to in-house composite engineers.

Through this process, Mike discovered that by implementing a standardized training program for all technicians—coupled with a rigorous quality reporting system—the company achieved zero repair failures. Providing the confidence to offer clients the unrivalled 5 year warranty…

The Global Blade Services training group operates worldwide, handling and assisting with the training needs of the world’s biggest OEM’s and Asset Owners Mike began his career in Operations and Maintenance in 1996 as an apprentice electrician in the United Kingdom. In 2013, he transitioned into wind energy as a traveling blade technician, working his way up to composites team lead and eventually founder and CEO. He brought with him invaluable lessons from his years in Operations and Maintenance.

A certified IRATA Level 3 for 25 years, Mike ensures his certifications remain up to date. 

Even at 54, he still enjoys getting hands-on with blade work.
