Kyle Wetzel

Dr. Kyle K. Wetzel has worked in the wind energy industry since 1993 and currently works as an independent engineering consultant focusing on rotor blades. Wetzel holds a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Kansas and is a Fellow of ASME and an Associate Fellow of the AIAA. He currently serves as the Technical Advisor for the IEC TC88 USTAG.  He has published more than 70 conference and journal papers and holds fourteen patents on wind turbine technology. He has consulted to more than 80 clients during the past 20+ years and has engineered dozens of rotor blades, of which tens of thousands are operating worldwide.
