Kyle Kalkbrenner

Kyle Kalkbrenner is a Sr. Blade Engineer- Program Manager for bp Onshore Wind. He is responsible for reliability and performance of wind turbine blades across all 1000 wind turbines in bp’s fleet. This includes planning inspection and repair, assessing severity of damages, implementing new technologies, and managing the contractors that are used to execute the work. He also serves as an SME for blade quality due diligence for repower or new projects. Kyle has a 14 year career focused around wind turbine blades. This include 10 years in a blade manufacturing facility, where he served in several role including quality management and composite repair design, 2+ years as a field service blade engineer for a blade repair ISP, and now he is in his second year with bp. Kyle holds a certification in APQP4wind and in a ISO9001 Lead Auditor.
